Meet Your Doctor
Dr. Sharon C. Meyer, MD
Dr. Meyer has been practicing medicine for over 25 years in San Francisco, at UCSF, Sutter Health, and St. Mary’s Medical Centers. In addition to her outpatient practice in primary care and HIV and her work as a hospitalist, she taught medical students and residents and was co-director of the resident ambulatory training clinics at Sutter and St. Mary’s, and served as Director of Behavioral Medicine at St. Mary’s.
Her work has always focused on the importance of the doctor-patient relationship in order to reach each person where they are and address their individual needs.
The Direct Primary Care practice model is emblematic of that philosophy — it is designed to benefit both patient and provider. Time with patients is longer, communication is direct, and access is much easier.
Access to Care
Office visits or Telehealth
Direct provider access and priority scheduling are part of the membership model.
Same-day or next-day appointments are available whenever possible, and home visits may be available when medically necessary.
Patients may choose video or phone consultations for concerns that do not require an in-office visit. These concerns may include medication follow-up, review of test results, or ongoing care discussions.
Email access is available for non-urgent messages and requests. Email messages are typically answered within 24–48 hours. For urgent time sensitive matters, secure text messaging is available.
